Very tough month for the Giants indeed. They should probably bubble wrap Juan Marichal. He's 86. Orlando Cepeda played with both Willie Mays and Hank Aaron! There were six hall of famers on the 1964 SF Giants. Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal, Gaylord Perry and Duke Snider in his last year in the majors. But they finished fourth in the NL. Fire Al Dark!

That was one of the great things about MLB in the 1960s.   Even the worst teams had notable stars in the lineup.  Look at the 60s Cubs.  Ernie Banks, Billy Williams and Ron Santo are all in the Hall of Fame and they never finished better than second when those guys were there.
