• Hadley Borders' fourth inning single off UK commit Abby Hammond scored McLaine Hudson and vaulted South Warren into the semifinals. 

• Hammond [27-3 (1-1)], who threw every pitch this season for the Lady Knights, scattered three hits (7 K, 0 BB) over seven innings. 

• Layla Ogden [20-0 (2-0)] pitched five innings (7 K, 3 BB) of no-hit relief for the Lady Spartans. 

#1 South Warren (39-3) will face the winner of tonight's pairing, #2 Henderson Co. vs. #6 McCracken Co., in next Friday's semis.

#3 Lexington Catholic, 11th Region champ (and State runner-up in 2022), closes out a terrific season at 27-3.
