Cov Cath nets 9th Region Tennis title

? It was an all Colonels championship match day at Drees Center Court. 

• Singles • 

Brady Hussey d. Blake Hussey: 6-0, 6-2

• Doubles • 

Kalei Christensen & Alex Yeager d. William Tribble & Jacob Kramer: 6-2, 6-0 

✔️ Hussey, a state semifinalist the last two years won his fourth straight title. Christensen and Yeager, defending state doubles champs, won for the second year in a row. All six Colonel netters will head to next week's State Singles/Doubles tournament.

2️⃣2️⃣ consecutive team titles for Cov Cath (25th all-time). Head Coach Al Hertsenberg, now in his 34th season at the Park Hills school, wins his 24th.

? State Singles and Doubles play begins May 28 at UK, EKU, and Berea College. Under a new format, a separate Team tourney will open at UK and Berea on June 3.
