8th Region Week 11 Rankings and Review

Here are your week 11 rankings! 

Week 11:
 

1. Oldham County (21-6)
The Colonels got back to their winning ways as they went 2-0 on the week with a 27 point win over Gallatin County and a 2 point win over Lloyd Memorial. Max Green had 40 in the win over Gallatin and 29 against Lloyd Memorial. Oldham plays St. X on the road Tuesday, and Eastern at home on Thursday. 

2. North Oldham (22-3)
The Mustangs were also perfect on the week with a 18 point win over Owen County and a 29 point win over WEB DuBois. They were led by a balanced scoring attack in both wins. North Oldham plays Collins on the road Tuesday, then they host 12th region favorite DCA on Saturday in a big game. 

3. Woodford County (21-5)
Woodford started their new win streak as they went 4-0 on the week. This included a 25 point win over Bourbon County, a 22 point win over Lafayette, a 9 point win over Frederick Douglass on the road, and a 9 point win over Harrison County. An impressive week to say the least. Woodford only has two weeks left on their schedule for the season, one this week and one the next. This week they play Dunbar on Tuesday at home. 

4. Spencer County (16-8)
Spencer drops a spot but to no fault of their own as they went 2-0 on the week with a 32 point win over Franklin County and a 33 point win over Walton-Verona. The Bears haven’t lost since they fell by ten to Woodford County on January 5th. Luke Erhardt led the way in scoring with 27 and 25 in the two wins. Spencer plays Bullitt East at home on Tuesday, and Bardstown at home on Friday for this week.  

5. Simon Kenton (11-14)
The pioneers went 1-1 on the week with a 12 point loss to Campbell County then bounced back with a 12 point win over Scott. Travis Krohman had 18 in the loss to CC. Simon Kenton is back in action on the road against Boone County on Tuesday, and on the road against Anderson County on Friday in a region game. 

6. Walton-Verona (19-8)
The Bearcats went 1-1 on the week with a 3 point win over Grant County and a 33 point loss to Spencer County. In the win over Grant County Aaron Gutman led the way with 29 and Zach Smith followed behind him with 17. Walton-Verona plays two of their last three games this week with Dixie Heights coming to town Tuesday and then playing on the road against Newport Central Catholic on Saturday.  

7. South Oldham (18-7)
After a really hot start the dragons have now lost 4 of their last 6. South Oldham started the week off with a 6 point loss to DeSales, then had a 21 point loss to Evangel Christian, before rebounding with a 17 point win over Mason County. Julian Miles went off for 44 in the win over Mason County. The Dragons play Louisville Collegiate at home Tuesday, Madison Southern at home Thursday, and Gallatin County on the road Saturday.  

8. Owen County (16-10)
The Rebels went 2-1 on the week with a 18 point win over Trimble County, an 18 point loss to North Oldham, and a 10 point win over Williamstown. Brax Ward led the way in scoring in the wins this week with 22 and 15 respectively. Owen plays Shelby County on Tuesday at home, and Anderson County at home on Saturday. 

9. Gallatin County (16-9)
The Wildcats went 1-1 on the week with a 22 point win over Henry County and a 27 point setback to Oldham County. Matthew Griffin had 28 in the win but only 14 in the loss to Oldham. They look to get back to their winning ways with a game at Augusta tonight, a game at home with Grant County tomorrow, and a game at home against South Oldham Saturday. 

10. Anderson County (14-9)
Anderson went 1-0 on the week with a 17 point win over Lafayette. After dropping four straight they are now winners of two straight. The Bearcats are back in action with West Jessamine at home Tuesday, Simon Kenton at home Friday, and Owen County on the road on Saturday.
