...RAIN TO CHANGE OVER TO WET SNOW TONIGHT...

An area of low pressure is expected to move across northern
Tennessee and into southeast Kentucky tonight. As the low moves
into southeast Kentucky, colder air is expected wrap into the
region behind the low. Rain is expected to change over to wet snow
as this colder air pushes in. Initially, surface temperatures
will start off well above freezing when the snow begins, but
temperatures are expected to fall to near freezing overnight. Some
minor snow accumulations will be possible with a non-zero chance
of impactful snowfall. Slick road conditions could be possible
Tuesday morning.

If the track of this system continues trending southward in
subsequent forecasts, higher snowfall accumulations may occur and
a Winter Weather Advisory may be issued in later forecasts.
