15th Region Week 10 Rankings and Review

Rankings and Review for week 10!

Week 10:
 

1. Pikeville (13-4)
Pikeville had a huge win this week over 13th region favorite Harlan County. They finished the week with a 48 point win over Christian Educational Consortium. The Panthers play East Ridge on Tuesday and Shelby Valley on Thursday. 

2. Pike County Central (13-8)
The Hawks went 3-1 on the week with wins over Shelby Valley by 13 in OT, Phelps by 19, and Tug Valley by 21. They had one set back against South Charleston WV by 1 in OT. PCC returns to action against Belfry on Tuesday and East Ridge on Thursday. They also play Grundy VA on Friday and Shelby Valley on Saturday. 

3. Lawrence County (18-4)
The Bulldogs went 2-1 on the week with a 32 point win over East Ridge and a 17 point win over Lewis County. They did have a tough 4 point loss against Betsy Lane in a game they probably should’ve won if they look to compete for the 15th region. They play Floyd Central on Tuesday and East Ridge this Saturday. 

4. Martin County (13-8)
Martin went 2-0 on the week with a 4 point win over Magoffin County and a 12 point win over Tug Valley. The Cardinals look to keep their winning ways going as they play Magoffin again tonight at home, Knott County Central Tuesday, and at Johnson Central Thursday. 

5. Magoffin County (11-9)
Magoffin went 1-1 on the week with a 4 point loss to Martin County and a 21 point win over West Carter. They can right their loss to Martin County as they play them again tonight. They also can send some shock waves if they’re able to beat Ashland Blazer on Wednesday. They play Paintsville back to back days on Friday and Saturday. 

6. Betsy Lane (10-10)
The Bobcats went 2-1 on the week with a 3 point win in OT against Johnson Central and a 4 point win against Lawrence County. They had a let down at the end of the week though as they fell to Wolfe County by 6 in OT. The win over Lawrence County was a huge win for the team that they need to build off of. They play Paintsville tonight, Shelby Valley Tuesday, and Prestonsburg Friday. 

7. Johnson Central (10-7)
The Golden Eagles went 2-1 on the week. They had a tough loss in OT to Betsy Lane, but rebounded to win the week out with wins over Paintsville by 1 and East Ridge by 24. JC will play Prestonsburg Tuesday and Martin County Thursday. 

8. Paintsville (10-10)
The Tigers went 1-1 on the week with a 6 point win over Prestonsburg and a 1 point loss to Johnson Central. Paintsville plays Betsy Lane tonight, Magoffin Friday, and Magoffin County again on Saturday. Ethan Cole led them in scoring with 31 in the win over Prestonsburg. 

9. Floyd Central (9-11)
Floyd Central went 1-0 on the week with a 24 point win over Prestonsburg in a game where they scored 107. FC plays Lawrence County on Tuesday and Breathitt on Saturday. 

10. Prestonsburg (14-9)
Prestonsburg went 1-2 on the week with a 6 point loss to Paintsville, a 24 point over Floyd Central, and a 5 point win over Mingo Central. PBurg plays Johnson Central Tuesday and Betsy Lane on Friday.
