Thoughts

·Adair County continues to impress. 2 wins against top competition this week in Larue County and Woodford County and locking up the district’s top seed with a win over Campbellsville.

·North Hardin also continues to play well and have secured the 17^th district #1 seed. They take a 5 game winning streak into their game against Taylor County on Tuesday night.

·The top 4 teams in the region (Adair, North Hardin, Etown & Washington County) all have 5-game winning streaks going into their games this week.

·Elizabethtown absolutely dominated Bardstown in the 2^nd half of their game this past week. They capped off the week with an impressive win against Warren Central

·By the end of this week, district play will be wrapped up. The only district that is still undecided in terms of #1 seeds is the 18^th district. If Larue wins against Green, Larue will be the #1 seed. Green can capture the #1 seed by winning out this week and Hart Co. could capture the #1 seed if they win out and Larue loses to Green. Expect the Green/Larue game to be very physical and emotional as last week’s game had some extracurricular activities after the game.

·Taylor County had a very good week, winning all 3 of their games. That gets them back to .500 on the season and back in the top 10 at the number 10 spot.

·Bardstown had maybe the worst week they’ve had all season, dropping all 3 of their games and in their first game they had several players ejected for coming off the bench during a little bit of a scrum. They have 2 winnable games this week that should get them back on the right track as they head toward the postseason.

·Lastly, continued thoughts and prayers to the John Hardin Bulldog family as they continue to deal with the untimely death of their coach, Austin Jones. The Bulldogs forfeited their first 2 games of the week but then played a very emotional game on Friday night. They played with great heart and intensity and were able to pick up the W. Congrats to them.
