Best Freshman Team ?

Featured Replies

Who has the best Freshman Team this year ?

Freshmen team in the 10th, there is a pretty good bunch from Bracken County. Play well together and that comes from playing with each other for a good number of years. That group has always been well coached. Another team that has to be mentioned in the 10th is the Brossart Lady Stangs freshmen squad.

Those two teams match up tonight.

Welcome to BGP PolarCat!

The Bracken Co. Lady Bears freshman team is a very special bunch.. A special bunch that works extremely hard from the very bottom to the very top. All players contribute. I am not going to say that we are the most talented team in the 10th region, but I will say that if there is another freshman bunch that works harder than these girls I want to see it. Hard work makes up for a lot of things..

Good game tonight should be.. It will take our best effort to give the Lady Stangs a game!

You are correct URIT,what few games I have seen, this is a very scrappy bunch that plays well together.

Yes, their team chemistry is amazing.. Its like they know where someone is before they get there..

They have always been a scrappy bunch.. Coach Patrick Kelsch from Bracken Co. took them to a tournament as 6th graders. A lot of them hadnt played any real organized basketball.. It started then and now look to where they have progressed... Coach Kelsch and Coach Persinger did a great job with them at the middle school level. As 7th graders they were conference runner up and won the conference as 8th graders. Only the 2nd team in school history to win the conference tournament. These girls have a real bright future ahead of them as long as they continue to improve at the same pace.

Their work ethic is there...

I agree i have seen these girls play as 7th and 8th graders and yes they are a very good bunch of girls. Seems to me that some of them have alot of fight in them, and they showed it on the floor even at a young age . I hope to see these girls play when they are Juniors and Seniors i think they have a bright future ahead of them . They sure have the potiential to be a very good team .

That is pretty good for a team to have already played that long together. Is this without any departures or additions?

there were some other girls that played in Jr. high but are not playing at the high school level!
