7th Region Week 9 Review & Rankings

Featured Replies

This past week Trinity made a statement that they are the best team in the 7th Region with an 81-59 win over Saint Xavier in front of a packed house at Bellarmine University. Jayden Johnson led the Shamrocks in scoring with 19 points and was 5-7 from the three-point line and Andrae Vasser had no problems getting into the lane scoring 13 points. The Shamrock defense frustrated St. X and they had their worst shooting game from three of the season going 3-25. St. X also got to the free throw line but shot 14-26. Jeremiah Jackson led the Tigers with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Manual beat Louisville Holy Cross 70-35 and beat Seneca 69-66. Male lost to Ballard 72-69 in OT and beat Seneca 69-66. Eastern beat Waggener 90-50 and beat Evansville North (IN) 57-47.

Seneca is a team to watch who played Male and Manual close behind the play of QuelRon House who is possibly the best player in the region scoring 37 points against Male and 25 points against Manual. Ballard looked like the Bruins of old when they upset Male 72-69 in OT but followed that up with another loss to Christian Academy-Louisville 67-64.
