Once again, temperatures will drop into the single digits, with windchills into the minus single digits by the end of the period. As a result of a broad trough that will bring another blast of arctic air into Kentucky starting on Thursday, a low-pressure system will pass to the south of Kentucky on Thursday into the day on Friday, causing snow to break out, starting in western Kentucky and moving eastward across the state before ending Friday evening. By the end of the period, temperatures will drop back into the single digits, and windchills will drop even lower. I will probably make my first official call for snow accumulations later today.
