NKY Girls Basketball Top 10 (1/8/24)

Well, we had a mixed bag of Girls' Hoops in NKY this week, and the result is a fair amount of movement in the poll -- and in the rankings of 9th Region others.  We had some losses that probably could be called unexpected, we had some really impressive wins, and we have some GREAT games on the slate for this week.  We have some really gaudy records but against rather lackluster schedules, and we have some below .500 records against great schedules that are likely equally misleading.  All in all, the first month or so has been terrific, but the next two months promise to be even better!!!  Here we go:

1.  Cooper 14-3 (2-0)  This week:  vs Campbell County and at Ryle (on January 12th, be there!)

2.  Notre Dame 12-2 (2-0)  This week:  vs Simon Kenton (1/8), vs Great Crossing, and vs Frederick Douglass at GRC

3.  Holy Cross (3-0)  This week:  vs Holmes and at George Rogers Clark (KY #2 team)

4.  Ryle 10-5 (1-1)  This week:  vs Sacred Heart (KY #1 team) and vs Cooper (again, 1/12, be there and enjoy this great rivalry)

5.  Highlands 8-5 (1-0)  This week:  at Scott and vs Ursuline (OH)

6.  Simon Kenton 10-4 (1-1)  This week:  at Notre Dame (1/8), vs Conner (sneaky good game), and vs Assumption

7.  Grant County 10-4 (2-0)  This week:  vs Williamstown

8.  Campbell County 11-3 (2-1)  This week:  at Cooper, vs Fleming County, and vs Mason County

9.  Bishop Brossart 11-3 (1-1)  This week:  OFF

10. Walton Verona 9-7 (3-0)  This week:  at Pendleton County, vs Scott, and at Holmes
