2023 Ashland Invitational Tournament

Per usual, the tournament will be held at James A. Anderson Gymnasium on the campus of Ashland Blazer High School.

The championship is up for grabs this year, with a field that appears wide open. Nearly every team competing can be counted as a contender in their respective regions.

The 16th, 15th, 12th, 8th, 6th, and 3rd regions are represented, with no out-of-state participants for the first time in four years.

The host Tomcats have successfully defended their home court to win the AIT numerous times throughout the near seven decade long history of this event. Butler and Simon Kenton have previously won the tourney, as well. The Pioneers are back after a runner-up finish in 2022.

First Round Games (12/28)

Morgan County vs. Danville Christian at 2:30 p.m.

Butler vs. Simon Kenton at 4 p.m.

Ohio County vs. Ashland at 7 p.m.

Martin County vs. Jeffersontown at 8:30 p.m.

The Semifinals will be held on Friday (12/29), with the finals on Saturday (12/30). There is also a consolation bracket that will unfold earlier in the day on Friday and Saturday.
