Tonight at 7:30 the home team of the King of the Bluegrass takes on most people's unanimous #1 team in the state! Can the Bulldogs pull the upset on their home floor?

10 minutes until tipoff in the first King of the Bluegrass semifinal. I'm very excited for this one as this is the two regions I cover for Bluegrasspreps in the 6th and the 11th region and I feel is two of the best three regions in the state along with the 7th. Most people would consider Great Crossing a huge favorite in this one but my week 3 rankings have Great Crossing 1st in the 11th region and Fairdale 3rd in the 6th region and as this gym starts to fill up and Fairdale being at home in semifinals for the first time in a long time I feel this could be the making of a monumental upset. We will soon see as we are getting close to tip off!

Burrell has 8 of the first 14 for Great Crossing and we are tied at 14 2 minutes to go in the first quarter

Great Crossing 6 to 0 run to start quarter they lead 25 to 18.

Burrell is on fire for Great Crossing as he already has 14 points. They are starting to pull away and lead 32 to 20 midway thru the second quarter.

Very impressive half by Great Crossing showing why most rankings have them #1 in the state. Bulldogs of Fairdale are up against it here as they trail by 15 and will have an uphill battle in the second half.

Great Crossing is putting on a show and showing why they are in lots of peoples opinion  the best team in the state. They lead 56 to 32 midway in the third quarter.

It's all Warhawks in this one and it looks as they are on their way to the Championship game tomorrow night. They lead at the end of the third quarter 67 to 43.

It's all Great Crossing with 4:45 remaining. They lead 72 to 48. So I'll be the first to admit when I saw them play North Oldham in first round I was not sold on them being the top ranked team in the state but after tonight they have for sure proved their ranking. Super impressive 

Great Crossing will be going to the King of the Bluegrass championship for the 2nd straight year. Last year they lost to eventual state champion Warren Central in the KOB final.
