The State Meet returns to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington next Saturday, 10/28.

2A Region 4

? New alignments, new opportunities, new champions.

Cov Cath's boys Lex Cath's girls won their first team titles since 2017 and 2016 respectively. The Colonels are currently ranked #1 in the state for 2A.

Soph Joe Mayer paced the winner's 1-2-3 finish to become the school's first individual champ since Kevin Beebe in 2005.

Cov Cath's 19 point winning total, ties I believe, the school record as the best in the program's 60 year history.

Bourbon County's Bethany Simpson, one of the area's best over six seasons, laid claim to top honors in her senior year. She previously placed 5th, 2nd, 7th, 2nd, and 3rd last year.

Congratulations to all who qualified for state! ?
