For the sake of representation, Brossart scores a school record 57 points in defeating Trimble County Friday night in Bedford, securing the Class 1A, District 4 Number Two seed as a result of Ludlow defeating Holy Cross in Ludlow.

Both teams were short-handed and down their starting qurterbacks.  Trimble County dressed only 19 players for this one, and Brossart liberally exercised our compliment of able bodied team members.

Tyler Holtz connected on 12 of 20 for 244 yards and four touchdowns (Luke Schroeder (2), Alex Amin, Cam Mandel) and ran for a fifth.

Junior Cam Mandel scored three touchdowns, and late in the game Sophomore Trip Wilson found Eli Davis for our eighth touchdown of the evening.  Our place kickers were perfect - Tyler Smith 6 for 6, and Reid Thompson 1 of 1 on PATS..  Mandel had a 2-Point conversion.

Brossart led 21-0 after a quarter and by as many as 29-0 late in the half.  The game went to a running clock at 50-14.

I was impressed with Raider speedsters Sam Galloway, and Collin Tolliver, who along with fullback Zach Hemmingway were responsible for nearly all of their offense.  Unfortunately for Trimble County the trio are all seniors.

Brossart has earned a home playoff date with Dayton in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs.  We  will close out the regular season at home next Friday night when we hot Pendleton COunty.
