The first domino to fall was the Wizards sending Bradley Beal, Jordan Goodwin, and Isiah Todd to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for CP3, Landry Shamet, multiple second round picks, and multiple pick swaps. It is not expected that CP3 will end up playing for the Wizards.

This is the punishment an NBA franchise, that is poorly run, receives when it grants a max extension and no-trade clause to a questionable star that has only played in 80% of games of their career.

I get it from the Wizards end in that they were going nowhere and in no man's land with Beal. Phoenix gets another star player on their roster, but it is a horribly constructed team. They about have to part ways with Ayton to build some depth. The NBA is too stacked with talent now to simply acquire a "Big 3" with marginal pieces filling out the roster and believing you are going to win a ring.
