The Breathitt Co. Boys freshman won the championship in the Buckhorn tourn. this weekend with victory's over PCC by 9 over Jackson City by 35, and Buckhorn by 12 this is a very tal. bunch.

I would like to congratulate these kids. They are a talented bunch and have a bright future.

How many will stick with Basketball or will they play only football. Is this the same group that competed for the 8th grade championship.

This is the same bunch that lost to highland by 2 in the state finals. The fugate kid is the only one that wasn't on the team because he came from Robinson, but I know this bunch of kids r real close with each other and I think they will stay with basketball for the next four years.

I remember hearing about this bunch a couple years ago and couldn't wait till they got into high school to see how they would do.

Breathitt has one of the best freshman classes in the state this year. Channing Fugate, Nick Noble, Dakota Ritchie just to name a few. Fugate and Noble play alot of minutes at the varsity with Noble starting and Fugate coming in off the bench. Both are huge contributiors for the bobcats. And both have a great future infront of them. They also are great kids. Well mannered and excilent students.
