Caldwell County names Aaron McClung head football coach.

"A longtime Caldwell County assistant football coach is the school’s new head coach.

CCHS announced Friday morning that Aaron McClung will take over the Tiger football program after Will Barnes unexpectedly stepped down from that position last month.

McClung was an assistant coach for Caldwell from 2003-2021, starting as the offensive line coach and then being defensive coordinator from 2011-21."


Coach McClung had previously been on coaching staffs at Greenwood, Graves County and Fulton County before joining the coaching staff at Caldwell County in 2003.
