Rodney Rowe retired from coaching following the end of the Shelby Valley girls season in March of 2018, but then picked his whistle back up to take over the boys program at Shelby Valley for the 2020-21 season. Earlier this season he announced to his team that this year would be his final year coaching, and his career wrapped up in the first round of the 15th Region Tournament with the Wildcats' loss to Martin County.
