Warren East 68 Monroe County 46 (4th Region Quarterfinals)

The Raiders announced their return to the 4th Region tournament in resounding fashion, utilizing an early 16-0 run to take control of the game.  The Raiders scored in the paint, from the foul line, and dominated the boards.  Isaiah Andrews led all scorers with 22 points, including the opening points of the game on an alley oop dunk.  He finished 7/12, including 7/9 inside the arc.  Branson Williams scored 11 to lead the Falcons.  The win earns Warren East a date with Warren Central on Monday.  The two teams have met every single season since Warren East opened in 1969, but were not on the schedule this season.  The postseason makes it happen.  East won a pair of region finals against Warren Central in 1986 and 1989, the only two region tournament meetings between the two.  Warren East actually takes a 7 game region tournament win streak into Mondays semifinals - they won the last two regions they made (in 1994 and 1997).
