Winners:

* Warren East - There wasn't really truly a "great" draw for the Raiders to get, but I feel they got the most favorable of the three district runners-up that they could get.  Monroe County beat Warren East a week ago, but the Raiders were shorthanded and on the road.  This is a winnable game for East, in their first trip to the region tournament since 1997.  In fact, they haven't played a region tournament at Diddle Arena since 1993 - the region tourneys in 1994 & 1997 were at high school sites.  So it was important for the Raiders to have a team without experience to take on to get their feet wet.  Monroe County fits that bill.

* Barren County - Likewise, there is no doubt that Barren County got the best district winner they could get.  The Hornets have been inconsistent on the year, reflected in their losing record.  And while the Trojans would not be favored against Bowling Green, they at least were competitive with the Purples earlier in the year.  They stay away from Warren Central until a potential final.

Losers:

* Franklin-Simpson - Like the moth to the flame, the Wildcats find the 14th District.  Five times during Coach Spencer's tenure at Franklin-Simpson (now at 11 seasons) he has drawn the 14th District representative out of the gate, including last year.  They've lost 14 in a row when going against a 14th District team at the region tournament.  They knew they'd have to see one (or two) to win the region, but they start with the mammoth matchup right away.

* Todd County Central - Four of the last five region tournament games for the Rebels have come against a team from the 14th District - they've lost them all.  They've lost 12 games in a row overall to Bowling Green, and haven't beaten the Purples since 2002.  They were likely going to face a tough draw regardless of who they got, but this was the worst one for them.
