Coaches-

 

Now that the new alignment is set,  every KY HS Head Football Coach will vote for our new KFCA Elected Council. The KFCA Elected Council has 12 coaches, two for each class, one from districts 1-4 (West) & the other from districts 5-8 (East).

 

You do NOT need to be a member to vote, but you DO have to be a KFCA member to be on the Elected Council.

 

Duties of the Elected Council

• Be a positive and influential voice of Kentucky High School Football and what is best for your respective districts/class. 

• Communicate with the head football coaches in your respective districts and classification.

• Council members should want to represent what is best for KHSAA, KFCA, and Kentucky High School Football.

• The Elected Council will have a meeting a minimum of 3 times a year (Winter/Spring/Summer) to discuss any issues, concerns or ideas for the previous and upcoming season.

As we did in 2020, Tyler Mattingly will prep an electronic ballot to distribute to all head coaches.  That ballot will be shared on the listserve. If a head football coach is not on the listserve, he will need to have someone share that ballot with him so he can vote. 

 

Nominations:

1- You may nominate yourself as long as you are a KFCA member.

2- You may nominate another head coach, as long as he agrees to perform the Duties of the Elected Council & he is a KFCA member.

 

We hope to begin collecting nominations next week. We will try to get you a timeline soon. Please begin to look for the BEST coaches in your class, in your half of the state, that will execute the duties of the KFCA Elected Council. 

 

Jimmie Reed & David Buchana are NOT the voice of the KY HS Football Coach. Neither is Johnnie Hines (KFCA President), nor the KFCA Regional Reps. The legitimate voice of the KY HS Football Coach is the KFCA Elected Council because it is selected by YOU, the KY HS Head Football Coaches!
