nWo Posted January 17, 2023 Share Posted January 17, 2023 There is a chance for thunderstorms and locally heavy rain Wednesday afternoon and evening. Localized flooding is possible. There is also a risk for severe thunderstorms with the main threats being damaging wind gusts, small hail and a very isolated threat of a tornado. Isolated strong to severe storms possible late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. Possible threats include: Damaging winds Locally heavy rainfall Isolated tornadoes Outside of showers/storms, winds could gust as high as 45mph Thursday (early morning and afternoon). There is also a flash flood threat. Isolated river and flash flood potential 1 inch rainfall expected over most of the region Localized areas of training storms could see rainfall totals closer to +2 inches.
