7th Region Week 7 Review & Rankings

This past week, the 7th Region rolled in the Louisville Invitational Tournament with Ballard and Male meeting in the Championship and Ballard got the 80-71 win behind the stellar play of Gabe Sisk and Miles Franklin who are one of the top guard duos in the state. Ballard and Male will play again on 1/27. Trinity played the top 6th Region team in Western to a close 48-42 loss. Manual got a good win over Eastern playing without Damone King before losing to Ballard. Damone King has an ankle sprain and should return at some point this season. 7th Region players that made the L.I.T. tournament team are Sam Frazier and Miles Franklin of Ballard, Jack & Cole Edelen of Male, Brady Hurley of Manual, Drae Vasser of Trinity, Nelson Williams of St. X, Jenuel Aquino of Central, Owen Shee of Eastern, and QuelRon House of Seneca. Gabe Sisk of Ballard won the L.I.T. MVP award and Demetrius White of Male won the Stan Hardin defense award.

1. Ballard (15-2)

Ballard beat Moore 86-56, beat St. X 60-57, beat Manual 82-54, and beat Male 80-71. Next game is at home against KCD on 1/17.

2. Trinity (13-5)

Trinity beat Iroquois 63-50 and lost to Western 48-42. Next game is at home against Seneca on 1/20.

3. Male (11-9)

Male beat Doss 73-57, beat Butler 55-49, beat Central 64-32, beat Western 69-56, and lost to Ballard 80-71. Next game is at St. X on 1/20.

4. Manual (10-9)

Manual beat Jeffersontown 74-63, beat Eastern 40-38, and lost to Ballard 82-54. Next game is at Eastern on 1/18.

5. Eastern (12-4)

Eastern beat KCD 74-33 and lost to Manual 40-38. Next game is at home against Manual on 1/18.

6. Saint Xavier (9-7)

St. X beat Seneca 65-47 and lost to Ballard 60-57. Next game is at home against Brown on 1/17.

7. Christian Academy - Louisville (8-8)

CAL had no games this past week. Next game is at home against Lexington Christian on 1/17.

8. Central (9-10)

Central beat Fern Creek 68-63, beat Pleasure Ridge Park 59-57, and lost to Male 64-32. Next game is at home against Manual on 1/20.

9. Seneca (8-7)

Seneca beat North Bullitt 76-63, lost to St. X 65-47, and lost to Butler 77-42. Next game is at home against Fern Creek on 1/17.

10. Atherton (6-11)

Atherton lost to Fairdale 83-58, lost to Southern 67-66, and lost to Fern Creek 81-58. Next game is at home against Highlands Latin on 1/20.
