The Royals made their case this week of why they are the best team in the 10th Region. Brian Kirk has his team at 17-2 over halfway through the season. The won the 2A State Championship over defending champion Lexington Catholic.

2. George Rogers Clark

W – Bourbon County (74-49)
W – Montgomery County (85-51)

The Cardinals are 12-4 and swept through their district competition and are now 3-0 and the #1 seed in the district. They will still play each team one more time since their district requires each team plays home and away.

3. Campbell County (+1)

L – Mason County (73-77)
W – Lloyd Memorial (68-49)
W – Harrison County (73-48)

The Camels have solidified themselves as the #3 team in the region after a 4-point loss to Mason County and a blowout win over Harrison County. They are shooting over 22 threes per game and making almost 8. Aydan Hamilton is averaging just over 22 ppg.

4. Montgomery County (+2)

L – George Rogers Clark (51-85)

The Indians started off with an easy win over Pendleton County and a hard loss to George Rogers Clark. Dawson Gentry led with 17 and 12 points this week.

5. Harrison County (-2)

W – Nicholas County (61-44)

The Thorobreds fell in Alexandria dropping their second game to a top three ranked region team. The defeated Nicholas County on the road to start 1-0 in district play. Kaydon Custard and JD Kendall are both averaging about 15 points and 6 rebounds per game.

The Eagles are on a four game win streak and had their best win of the season so far over Lloyd Memorial. Dylan Giffen is averaging 15.9 ppg and Brayden Howell is averaging 14.6 ppg.

7. Bracken County (-2)

L – Paris (68-73)

In their only game this week, the Polar Bears were upset by the Greyhounds in 10th Region All “A” Classic at Paris. They were 4 of 20 from three. Blake Reed is avergaing 31 ppg.

8. Bishop Brossart

W – Calvary Christian (74-62)
W – Paris (74-62)

The Mustangs reclaimed their 10th Region All “A” Classic title, beating Paris on the road by 12. Logan Woosley led with 20 points.

9. Paris

W – Bracken County (73-68)
L – Bishop Brossart 62-74)

Paris’ run in the All “A” came to an end in the finals. Jakari Ransom scored 29 and freshman Malachi Ashford followed with 21, going 14/14 from the line. Ransom had 19 and Ashford 18 in the championship game.
