Lady Panthers left Booneville with the win  in a game that the final score does not indicate the closeness of the contest. The game was tied after one quarter, Knox Central led by 2 at the half and led by 4 at the end of 3 quarters. Owlsey seemed to wear down in the 4th in an intense game and Knox scored a bunch of late points. Knox played 11 players and Owsley only 6 and it was evident late. Knox Central’s super Soph Halle Collins had 40 points of their 64 and at least 20 rebounds. She earlier in the season scored 37 vs Owsley in a 71-69 win in Barbourville. She is the real deal, one of the better players in the state in my opinion, and possibly the best in the 13th. 

Halle had 38 points, 14 rebounds, and eight assists.

I was off a little on the rebounds but she had one heck of a game. When Owsley played them in early December at Knox the Lady Owls had a 16 point lead at one time but Collins went on a tear in that game too, scoring 21 of her 37 points in the second half in a 71-69 win.
If Collins gets the ball in the paint down low and gets position she is hard to stop. And she is going to get position because she moves her feet and uses her size so well. 
However, the final score of yesterday’s game  is a little misleading. There’s not much difference in these two teams but Knox does have a huge bench depth advantage.
