7th Region Week 6 Review & Rankings

As we have finished the holiday tournament season, we now turn our attention to the Louisville Invitational Tournament that starts tonight. 7th Region teams competing in the L.I.T. are Ballard, Trinity, Male, Eastern, St. X, Manual, Seneca, KCD, Central, and Atherton. Ballard remains #1 after this week with the duo of Gabe Sisk and Miles Franklin leading the Bruins. Trinity had a good week going 3-0 with a win over rival St. X at sold out Bellarmine University. Male has played one of the toughest schedules in the state to date and went 1-1 this week. Eastern went 2-0 this week and have won 6 out of their last 7 games. Saint Xavier has been competitive with some tough teams on their schedule and lost to rival Trinity this past week. Manual's Damone King who is a All-Region candidate was injured and Manual was blown out in their two games this week without him against Pleasure Ridge Park and Butler. Damone King's status is unknown but if he returns then Manual will be able to return to the top 5. KY Country Day broke a 3-game losing streak going 2-0 this past week but drops out of the top 5 for now.

1. Ballard (11-2)

Ballard is led by Gabe Sisk 24.3 PPG, 10.6 RPG, Miles Franklin 16.2 PPG, and Sam Frazier 10.8 PPG. Ballard beat Bullitt East 89-51. Next game is at home in the LIT against the winner of Beth Haven vs. Moore on 1/10.

2. Trinity (12-4)

Trinity is led by Andrae Vasser 14.6 PPG, 7.9 RPG, Cam McClain 12.7 PPG, and Jayden Johnson 10.8 PPG. Trinity beat Highlands Latin 85-22, St. X 50-41, and Corbin 61-51. Next game is at home in LIT tournament against winner of Iroquois vs. Southern on 1/10.

3. Male (6-8)

Male is led by Jack Edelen 17.7 PPG, Cole Edelen 14.3 PPG, and Demetrius White 13.5 PPG, and Jason Gasaway leads in rebounds at 5.6 RPG. Male beat Jeffersontown 73-67 and lost to Lexington Catholic 69-55. Next game is at Doss tonight in the LIT tournament.

4. Eastern (11-3)

Eastern is led by Owen Shee 18.9 PPG, 6.7 RPG and Sam Glass 12.4 PPG. Eastern beat Southern 68-41 and Oldham County 69-56. Next game is at home against the winner of Holy Cross vs. KCD in LIT tournament on 1/10.

5. Saint Xavier (8-6)

St. X is led by Chance Dillingham 13.8 PPG and Nelson Williams 11.5 PPG. Will Hanke leads in rebounding at 7.0 RPG. St. X lost to Trinity 50-41. Next game is at home against the winner of Seneca vs. North Bullitt in LIT tournament on 1/10.

6. Manual (8-8)

Manual is led by Damone King 15.4 PPG and Justice Decker 10.8 PPG. Brady Hurley leads in rebounding at 8.0 RPG. Manual beat Francis Parker 1-0 (Forfeit), lost to Pleasure Ridge Park 68-42, and lost to Butler 70-47. Next game is at home against the winner of Jeffersontown vs. Bullitt East in the LIT tournament on 1/10.

7. KY Country Day (7-6)

KCD is led by Will Crockett 19.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG, and Cameron Edwards 9.5 PPG. KCD beat Brown 85-55. Next game is at home against Holy Cross in the LIT tournament tonight 1/9.

8. Seneca (7-5)

Seneca is led by QuelRon House 24.2 PPG, 8.3 RPG and RaVante Coward 12.5 PPG. Seneca lost to North Oldham 65-64, and beat Atherton 56-55. Next game is at North Bullitt in the LIT tournament tonight 1/9.

9. Christian Academy-Louisville (8-8)

CAL is led by Joshua Sangalli 15.4 ppg and Kirk Lemons 13.5 PPG. Nolan Wahl leads in rebounding at 4.7 RPG. CAL lost to Bardstown 68-63 and beat Christian Academy (IN) 54-39. Next game is at home against Lexington Christian on 1/17.

10. Atherton (6-8)

Atherton is led by Demetrius Dunlap 12.3 PPG, Benjamin Wilson 11.7 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and Christopher Talbott 10.2 PPG. Atherton lost to Waggener 68-49 and Seneca 56-55. Next game is at home against Fairdale in the LIT tournament tonight 1/9.
