Two of the top teams in the 14th region battled it out tonight in the Hyden Citizens Bank Classic and a Lady Eagles basket in the last seconds earned them a hard fought victory. The Lady Owls had a shot at the horn to win but the long 3 wouldn’t fall. Leslie’s record is now 7-1 and Owsley falls to 5-2, with both their losses 2 point setbacks on the road (the other was Knox Central). 

Leslie and Owsley could very well play three more times this season: in the All A Regional tournament in January, a regular season game at Owsley in February, and possibly in the KHSAA regional if both are fortunate enough to advance. This years All A semifinals and the 14th region KHSAA tournaments are at Leslie.
