The state's top 2 teams battled at Eastern High School last night and the Tigers of St. X come out on top over the Bruins of Ballard High School.  You hate to see Ballard's season end so soon, but that is the nature of the ridiculously tough 7th Region.  St. X will now face their rivals from Shelbyville Road, the Shamrocks of Trinity, for the 7th Region Title!!!  I'm sure there will be a couple of people at that game on Thursday at 7:00 PM.  

Ballard wraps up 2022 with a gaudy record of 16-3-1, with 76 goals for and 26 against.  Both of their in-state losses this year were to the Tigers of St. X, and the only other non-win in KY was versus Male 0-0.  Their 3rd loss was to Providence (IN).  It seems hollow and insufficient to say this, but congrats to Coach Benitez and his Bruins on an OUTSTANDING season.
