WOW!!!  Lexington Catholic comes limping into the Regional tourney, fresh off losing 4 of their last 6, including an 0-7 result in the districts, and only having scored FOUR GOALS since September 6th (in 9 games...and 3 of them were in one game).  Let that sink in for a moment.  They roar out of the gates in the 11th Region Tourney and knock off the KY Top 10 Madison Southern team that some had very high hopes for.  The Knights advance to take on KY Top 3-5 ranked Freddy D.  That will certainly be an uphill climb, although they tied 1-1 back on September 1st.

Madison Southern had a magical season and end the year 16-4-0.  They scored 90 goals and allowed only 21.  This was the 2nd time LexCath got them, but given the form that the Knights were bringing in, you thought Madison Southern would have enough to move on.  Congrats to Coach Lunsford and the Eagles on a very special season.
