This feels a little bit like a message being sent, to be honest.  CovCath beat Beechwood in the regular season 5-2, but I'm not sure I saw a 7-0 blanking coming last night.  Maybe the Colonels are at least wanting to send the message they mean to defend their 9th Region Championship...although I don't give them a great chance.  Still, very thorough victory for the Colonels.

CovCath is now 10-10-1 on the season, with 62 goals for and 40 against. 

Beechwood is 10-9-1 (quite a difference in the two teams' schedules, to be fair), with 42 goals for and 40 against.

Good luck to both teams in next week's 9th Region Tourney!!!  I'm secretly rooting for a CovCath vs NewCath first round draw, although I'm sure they are hoping to see SHDHS in round 1, which would mean Dixie was on the other half of the bracket.  Should be fun.
