Covington Holy Cross 2 Walton Verona 1

Featured Replies

Holy Cross gets the narrow victory on the road in Walton last night, in a game that looks like it was as close as many thought it would be.  In fact, in using the RPI as a gauge, it looked like HC was "this" much better, and that proved out to be exactly the case.

The Indians are now 7-6-1 on the season, and they head to Elizabethtown tomorrow to play both Central Hardin, as well as Bryan Station.  Everything for HC between now and the end of the season has to be about how to be most prepared for Beechwood in the 35th District Semis, and how they can avenge the loss to the Tigers last year in that crucial win or go home game.

Walton is now 9-6-3 and they travel to a Boone County team on Saturday that just caught the wrong end of a 10-1 result vs CovCath.  Boone should be excited to see a different team across the pitch from them, although Walton won't be any pushover, to be sure.
