Round one in the battle to be the 35th Runner-Up goes to the Tigers of Beechwood with the 1-0 victory.  As I've talked about often, this and "can Conner jump either Ryle or Cooper to get into the 9th Region Tourney" are the two story-lines this year that I'm enjoying following.  Congrats to the Tigers on this victory!  Beechwood moves to 5-4-0 on the season with their 2nd straight victory, but they jump up in class with SEVEN very difficult games in a row starting with Roger Bacon (OH) on Saturday.  Will be interesting to see if Beechwood can get any results of the next seven, but at worst, their boys will certainly be battle-tested for the post-season.  Good luck, Tigers.

The Indians continue their run of "heartbreak city" with their third consecutive 0-1 loss (following close losses to NewCath and Brossart).  Just gut-wrenching for the HC faithful.  They are now 4-4-0 on the season, and they now get an angry SHDHS team (see other thread) and then Cooper the next two games.
