I said before the year, somewhat of a limb prediction, that I thought Holy Cross would be runners-up in the 35th and get back to the 9th Region tourney, and this is the type of result that I would have expected if that is to come to fruition.  Boone County is the 4th best team in the 33rd, to be sure, but they are much improved over last year, so this game does show that the plucky and top-heavy Indians have enough to beat the teams they should.

Now, Boone County lost to Beechwood 0-5, so the Tigers are still the front-runners to grab that 2nd district ticket from the 35th, but I still think Holy Cross' best is better than Beechwood's best, and at the end of the day, that will carry the day.  Beechwood certainly has WAY MORE balance and depth to their roster, that is unquestioned.
