Garrard County 76 Danville 53

Featured Replies

Garrard County improved to 9-6 on the season and 2-0 in 45th District play with a win at home over Danville on Friday night. Garrard led by 1 after one period and pushed it out to 42-27 at halftime. The lead stretched to twenty by the middle of the third quarter and the Golden Lions coasted in from there.

Garrard was led in scoring by sophomore Justin Ray with 21 points. They will play at district rival Lincoln County next Friday night.

Danville didn't play that bad to be has young as they are! I think it's time for a new coach at Danville.Coach Pippen is a good coach but not a good fit at Danville.Danville needs a young coach like Garrards coach Scott Bolin.

It really hurt Danville losing Macon during football season and then of course the two kids who transferred over to Boyle County after last season. Danville had some nice young talent, but they are untestested.

I think you make a good point about Coach Pippen. He seems like a nice guy and I think he's a pretty good coach, but sometimes things aren't working and everyone needs a fresh start. I think that would benefit Danville.

As for Coach Bolin, Garrard County made a wonderful hire. His first couple years were a little low on talent (although he managed a 15-14 record in his first season), but there is more talent in the program now. They play hard, play smart and are well coached by the staff. I think the future is bright for Garrard.

I played in a golf scramble a few months back for the Garrard Co. B-Ball team and Scott Bolin came off as a real class act! That does hurt without Macon, but he might not have played anyway.Jeff Guest and Daylan Morris did not play this year either and I belive it was because of the coach.

You hit the nail on the head with that statement. Coach Bolin is a wonderful guy and a pretty good coach to boot!:thumb:
