High Heat Index to return Tuesday (7/19/22)

Excessive heat to return to the bluegrass starting on Tuesday lasting through Thursday. On Tuesday most of the high heat index will be mainly west of I-65. Potions of western Kentucky can see heat indices around 105°.

On Wednesday the heat will spread eastward across Kentucky to around I-75. The heat index will range from about 102° around I-75 to 107° west of I-65.

Thursday will see the high heat index mainly south of I-64 from 107-110° west of I-65. East of I-65 will range from 101° to 105°. Things will start to moderate some on Friday.

Everyone should prepare for some very hot heat indices for about a week or so. There will be a brief period of cooling down Thursday and Friday before a more humid air mass moves in for the weekend.
