URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
   Tornado Watch Number 248
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   440 PM CDT Thu May 19 2022

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Tornado Watch for portions of 
     Southern Illinois
     Southwest Indiana
     Western Kentucky
     Far Eastern Missouri

   * Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 440 PM until
     1100 PM CDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     A couple tornadoes possible
     Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
       to 75 mph possible
     Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible

   SUMMARY...A well-organized complex of storms, which includes some
   embedded supercells, will continue eastward into southern
   Illinois/western Kentucky and eventually southwest Indiana this
   evening.

   The tornado watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles
   north and south of a line from 45 miles west of Carbondale IL to 25
   miles southeast of Evansville IN. For a complete depiction of the

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
   tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
   area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
   threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
   and possible warnings.
