May 19, 20224 yr The severe weather threat has increased from this morning. Most of the state is now under a level 2 Slight Risk Area for possible strong to severe storms later today. A small section of northwestern Kentucky is now under a level 3 Enhanced Risk Area. Isolated to scattered strong to severe storms will be possible late this afternoon into the night time hours. Occasional large hail, damaging winds, and a couple of tornadoes occur this afternoon into the night. The following map with the red areas shows where the best chance to see a possible tornado. This is my thinking at this time. This will more than likely change as we get closer to this evening. The northern Kentucky area possible will not see these storms until around 9 pm. EDT. I will post another update later this afternoon.
