nWo Posted February 17, 2022 Share Posted February 17, 2022 A BGP Severe Weather Alert Day is in effect. Today winds coming from the south will be gusting 45-50 mph ahead of a cold front. There is a risk of severe weather, especially between 2 pm and 8 pm EST. Best chances in Kentucky, especially western and southern Kentucky. Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are possible. A general 1-2" of rain by this evening. Locally heavier amounts are possible in southern Indiana and far north-central Kentucky including Louisville possibly leading to local flooding. There is a Wind Advisory in effect for most of Kentucky until 10 pm EST. Stay up to date with the latest weather information and be prepared for the possible issuance of severe weather watches this afternoon and evening.
