North Oldham 62 South Oldham 56

Mac McIntosh's first North Oldham team becomes the first-ever North Oldham squad to reach the 8th Region tournament.

North, by virtue of their 52-46 victory over South Oldham, earns the #1 seed for the 29th District tournament - the first time North has ever been the #1 seed - and, since the district is a 3-team district, the Lady Mustangs earn an automatic berth in the 2022 8th Region tournament.    It will be the first trip to the 8th Region tournament for NOHS since the school opened in the 2003-4 school year.

South actually outscored North in 3 of the 4 quarters, but it was a 20-4 advantage for North in the second quarter that propelled the Lady Mustangs from a 20-15 first quarter deficit to a 35-24 halftime deficit that they wouldn't relinquish.

North senior Riley Neal lead all scorers with 28 points.

Both Neal and junior forward Katelyn Vize had two quick fouls in the first quarter for North - but both finished with just two fouls.

Katelyn Vize finished unofficially with 15 points / 9 rebounds.

North improved to 10-12 on the season, South fell to 14-7.
