BluegrassPreps.com 7th Region Week 9 Review and Rankings

The Male Bulldogs have solidified the #1 ranking with a 2nd win over the Ballard Bruins. Male defeated Ballard behind another strong effort by Louisville commit Kaleb Glenn who has been demonstrating why he's one of the best players in the Nation. Kaleb Glenn had 22 points and 15 rebounds against the Bruins. Male also had a big win over Covington Catholic and Male is a top contender to win the State Championship. Ballard despite losing to Male still is a very talented team and has time to get things going again by the 7th Region tournament. Ballard will most likely get another shot at Male in the 7th Region Tournament. Manual still is the #3 choice despite losing to a very good Jeffersontown team 78-58 who they had beaten earlier in the season. Christian Academy hangs in at #4 due to their recent win over Trinity but have had a bad week with big losses to Bullitt East and DeSales. Their #4 ranking could be in jeopardy if continue losing. Trinity is at #5 after losing to CAL and Madison Central with both being competitive games, and St. X is right on their heels at #6. St. X and Trinity split games this season so they are more like 5A and 5B. KY Country Day lost in the first round of the All "A" tournament losing to eventual semifinalist Evangel.
