Harlan was just about as bad as a team could possibly be for 24 minutes in this game, trailing 31-22 going into the fourth quarter. Then they went on a 17-0 run to beat Campbellsville in the first round of the All "A" Classic at EKU. Jordan Akal, who struggled all night from the field (1-14), led the Green Dragons with 15 points, 12-13 from the free throw with several coming down the stretch. Kaleb McLendon also scored 15, hitting five three pointers, including three in the first half to keep them in the game and two in the fourth quarter that all but sealed the deal. Jay Milburn led Campbellsville with 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Harlan's win was their first in the All "A" since advancing to the semifinals in 2000. Coincidentally, they began that run with a first round win over Campbellsville. For Campbellsville, it was yet another All "A" disappointment, losing in the first round for the eighth consecutive time. Campbellsville's only All "A" win was a 65-53 first round victory over Louisville Holy Cross in 1997.
