Marginal Risk for Flash Flooding this weekend

Recommended Posts

Areas hard hit by this past weekend's tornado outbreak look to have to deal with possible heavy rain that could lead to possible flooding this upcoming weekend. A swath of Kentucky along the Ohio River could receive 3-5 inches of rain south of that 1-3 inches. This is why the Weather Prediction Center has, for now, a category 1 Marginal Risk for isolated flash flooding for the weekend.

The GFS radar is from 10 am EST Wednesday to 1 am EST Sunday. The next one shows the rainfall as it accumulates over the period.
