Boys' Soccer Sweet 16!!

We've reached the State Tournament, and congrats to those 16 teams that have survived their regional tournaments and advanced to the Big Dance.  Some regions produced shocking results, others went according to what you would have expected, but without further ado, here is the breakdown for the first 8 games tonight and tomorrow night:

Butler (Maher #16) vs McCracken County (#30) (at Ballard), Tuesday the 19th at 7:00 PM.

Henderson County (#21) at Elizabethtown (#11), Tuesday the 19th at 7:30 PM.

Corbin (#18) at Dunbar (#2), Tuesday the 19th at 7:00 PM.

Perry County Central (Outside the Top 100) at Boyd County (#71), Tuesday the 19th at 7:00 PM.

Somerset (#51) at Lawrence County (#56), Monday the 18th at 7:00 PM.

CovCath (#20) at Montgomery County (#29), Monday the 18th at 7:00 PM.  (Yes, CCH #11, I saw your sarcastic shout-out on IG, congrats on your region title)

DuPont Manual (#9) at North Oldham (#1), Tuesday the 19th at 7:00 PM.

South Warren (#27) at Daviess County (#3), Monday the 18th at 7:00 PM.

The winners of the above games will play their Elite 8 Games at the site of the highest RPI between 10/21 and 10/23.

Good luck to all 16 teams, understand what a big deal it is to win a Region in a single-classification sport in KY, you should all be very proud at making it this far.  Stay healthy, play hard, and represent yourselves and your schools well!
