Southern at Bullitt East Predictions/Updates

After a first series fumble by BE and then interception by BE after a couple of Southern first downs, BE scores two quick TD’s. One through the air and then after a successful onside kick recovery and second TD on the ground.

After stopping Southern on the goal line BE takes over on their own 7. Two plays later BE throws a pic six. XP is no good.

BE answers in 6 plays with pass over the middle. XP good. Then converts on another onside kick.

A side note. BE offense commits WAY too many penalties.

BE completes a 50 yard pass with 48 seconds remaining in the half to go up 28-6. 
 

BE then recovered a fumble with 15 seconds remaining and took two shots at the end zone to no avail.  
 

Halftime. Offense has been sloppy with a ton of penalties and aside from a qb scramble for about 40 yards and a couple of short passes the D has played pretty well. I’ll give Southerns QB credit, he’s been hit pretty hard staying in and getting a pass or two off and gets up and plays hard.

Short run by Gathier completes a 49 yard drive to put BE up 35-6 with 4:12 left in 3rd. 
 

Third qtr has been an ugly, flag filled mess. Southern had two tds called back for holding calls. BE had an interception wiped out by a roughing the qb call.

BE returns a punt to the 11 of Southern and punches it in a couple of plays later. XP no good. 
 

Southern has some nice players they are just way out gunned. #10 de is really tough. I like him.

Last two quick TD’s have been against the BE jv. Which is fine, but they were easier than they should have been.
