The Double Deuce Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 Dixie found scoring against the Tigers much easier than I thought they would, and move on to face Ryle in the 9th Region finals on Thursday. Beechwood (10-11-1) have come a long way as a program, and I believe Coach Rechtin will be able to continue that upward trajectory on Beechwood Road, so look for the Tigers to keep improving in 2022 and beyond. No small feat at a legendary "football school" with a less than huge enrollment. Their two wins over Holy Cross this year, and winning the 9th Region "All A", should give them a lot of confidence heading into the post-season. Dixie has been a Top 5/6 team in the 9th / NKY all year, so it isn't much of a surprise that they advance to the 9th Region Semi-Finals. They'll obviously have a tough match with the favorite Ryle Raiders, but the Colonels have only been beaten once since September 1st (a 1-4 loss to Highlands), so Coach Crone has them peaking at the right time.
