Dunbar 2 Lexington Catholic 1 (43rd District Championship)

Much like the 7th (and I guess the 9th, although I think Ryle is much the best there), the 11th Region Tourney is going to be outstanding.  I know many believe that it is Madison Central....then Dunbar...then a huge gap to everyone else, but I don't think that is the case.  I do think Madison Central is the best side in the 11th, but I believe there are several teams that, on a given night, could scare them.  Certainly these 2 from the 43rd are among them.

Dunbar, at times, has looked KY Top 5 good this year (as a few covering the state have ranked them), but they have had other results (losing to Highlands 5-2, as an example) where you're left wondering just how good they are...or can be.   I think they COULD beat Madison Central next week, but I don't think it is likely, to be honest.

That said, congrats to PLD on the 43 Title, that is not an easy district to win and they earned it!  LexCath has shown some flashes this year, and are always deep, so don't sleep on them to pull off a win next week based on the draw.
