The Tomcats took advantage of multiple East Carter miscues in a seven run 2nd inning. The Raiders made a game of it with crooked numbers in innings four, five, and six, before Ashland put the game out of reach with six runs in the bottom of the 6th.

The Tomcats (15-21), despite a very sub-par regular season, now find themselves in the 16th Region championship game for the second season in a row. It should be noted that Ashland endured the most challenging schedule in the region and it appears to be paying dividends.
