May 14, 20215 yr The gasoline shortage got me to go check on this topic this morning. Most probably know know they found a "crack" (actually a major structure fully sheered) in the I-40 bridge at Memphis and closed the bridge to vehicle traffic. But also the Coast Guard has closed river traffic as well. So nothing is going up or down the river at Memphis. As of this morning it seemed its still closed. This is pretty major. Very direct impact on agriculture that depends on barges. But a lot of other things as well. A some point this stoppage may show up in various ways since this is a serious impact to a major supply chain artery for the entire country.
