Estill falls to 5th Region midcarder Taylor County at Madison Southern. The Cardinals were shooting lights out - and while Estill made runs chipping away at the lead during the game's fourth quarter - it just seemed like the Engineers couldn't come up with that one big play or stop that could turn the game around.

 

That said, I'd like to take this post in a slightly different direction. I think it's particularaly salient that I point out the heart and leadership displayed by senior Cody Berryman late in the game tonight. I couldn't keep track of how many turnovers Berryman created just on pure grit and will to win. While his characteristic three point shot didn't fall quite enough to pull out the win - he did shoot fairly well most of the time - and again the heart was absolutely estimable.

 

Back to the game's stats and highlights - Gumm and Cox were just remarkable shooters all night long. I also liked that the Cardinals attempted to slow down the game and take away Estill's run game - something I didnt see at all in Taylor County's game with East Ridge the night before.
